We carry the top names in pickleball, chosen for control, power and durability: Selkirk , JOOLA , Onix , Babolat , Gamma , Head , Paddletek and Gearbox for paddles and gear, plus Asics , Nike , Skechers and New Balance for shoes and apparel.

Start with weight. Midweight paddles offer the best balance of power and control for most players, lightweight paddles are easier on the arm and quick at the kitchen, and heavyweight paddles add power and stability. Then consider core thickness, shape and grip size. Our paddle buying guide walks you through each step.

All you really need is a paddle, a few balls made for where you play (indoor or outdoor), and court shoes with good lateral support. Many beginners start with a forgiving midweight paddle. As you play more, add a bag, an overgrip, protective eyewear and a water bottle.

Indoor pickleballs are lighter and softer, with about 26 larger holes, for a slower, more controllable game on gym floors. Outdoor pickleballs are harder, with about 40 smaller holes, so they cut through wind and bounce consistently on concrete. Choose the ball that matches your court, or the one your club or league uses.
